Little bit of delay

Busy with classes starting this week but I'll do my best to make the updates frequent.

This tune is definitely one of my favorites:

It's a remix done by Xtigma of "Feel Our Heaven" which while is a good piece, gets taken to another level in this remix. What does it for me are the somewhat modulated vocals, as I post more songs I think you'll start to see a pattern. I really don't like when the vocals dominate the instrumentals as I think it takes away from what trance is really about, although I'm not trying to take any shots at the vocalists.

Okay here's another older tune and displays more of what I'm talking about when it comes to mixed up vocals sound. They kick in pretty quickly. I must say I have this very specific taste when it comes to vocal trance and sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what I'm looking for so I'll do my best to keep stuff like this coming (unless you don't like it hah).

Of course there are other remixes of this tune out there as well that contain more of the vocals but I prefer this one.

First piece!

I'm going to start the blog off with a piece I've been listening to quite a bit recently.

It is a remix done by Ehren Stowers of the song "Wish You Were Here" by Kenneth Thomas and vocals by Colleen Riley. Kenneth Thomas is a trance DJ from Detroit, USA and it's always refreshing to listen to a good EDM DJ from the states. It has an amazing progressive feel to it and is not overwhelmed by the vocals. Hope you enjoy it!

Gateway to Trance

This blog will be used to introduce people to all variations of trance music. Artists such as Armin Van Buren and Tiesto have had some success in bringing trance into the mainstream but there is so much more that goes by unnoticed. I aim to open up people to the artists people might never hear about. There will be a mixture of both recent and older material, basically anything that I come across and enjoy will be posted. They might be completely random as well, the songs will range from progressive trance to vocal to just regular trance. Additionally I will write a small blurb with each song that might help you find another similar artist/song if you liked the piece. Lastly I just want to let you know that I will update frequently but not so much that you get overwhelmed by the amount of songs. I feel it's best to post only a few at a time so you have time to listen to all of them. Hope you guys are looking forward to it!

*Note: None of the songs will be hosted here and I won't provide anyone with knowledge of where to find the songs. If you like the song either purchase it or find another means to listen to it.
